As part of the Vitality experience, academics are a study of responsibility, cooperation, and the research. Thorough preparation and participation are seen as the student's responsibility to the team. We treat students not as consumers but as creators of their education and related projects. Students create their projects and, with guidance from coaches, learn by doing. Vitality sets students years above expectations in terms of academic knowledge across a variety of disciplines. Students drive most sessions and are responsible for thinking critically about how each project can improve, attempting to enhance their participation, and giving feedback to other students.
In terms of academics, research is at the heart of what we do. Students are encouraged to pursue ideas that have never been explored before. Our research culture always emphasizes teamwork, with students working alongside peers, mentors, and external partners.
We give students the freedom to take charge of their research. Unlike traditional programs, Vitality does not prescribe a rigid curriculum. Students can choose their competition and conference schedule and come up with projects from scratch.
